Welcome to delhi for Commonwealth Games 2010

New Delhi is the capital city of India and is known for its rich culture. In ancient times it was known as the golden bird because of its wealth and prosperity. It is on the banks of one of the major river flowing in India-Jamuna. Delhi is a centre for all the major political and policy making activities in India.

Delhi has two major parts-one is Old Delhi and second is New Delhi, though it is divided zone wise and covers some parts of states like Uttar Pradesh and Haryana in its region namely National Capital Region (NCR).Zone wise it comprises of four major zone namely-East,West,North and South.

Lots of developments in and around Delhi are being carried out in order to meet the challenges of coming games event. Lots of accommodation facilities are being prepared in order to accommodate tourists and athletes with all types of world class facilities.

Games will be carried out in main stadiums of the city which have seating capacities in thousands and have all the major facilities to support world class games.
